On Thursday, January 28, from 10:30 to Noon, TTARA will join with the Texas Association of Manufacturers and the Texas 2050 Alliance to present a virtual summit on Chapter 313 – the law allowing school districts to offer a temporary property tax discount in order to bring new investment to the state.

TTARA’s Dale Craymer will provide a brief overview of the program, followed by a panel of industry representatives moderated by Tony Bennett, President of the Texas Manufacturer’s Association. The panel will include Bill Blaylock of Texas Instruments, Andrea Carter of Cheniere, and Dale Fowler of the Victoria Economic Development Corporation. Panelists have worked on projects using the program and will discuss how it has impacted business investment decisions.
