Though Texans face some of the highest property tax bills in the nation, our system of property tax administration is actually rated one of the best. John will take us from where we were – taxing units appraising property, multiple appraisals for each property, huge value disparities across the state – to where we are today: a single value for each property based on the market as determined by professionals, not politicians.
