Welcome to the Texas Taxpayers and Research Association

The Texas Taxpayers and Research Association (TTARA) is a nationally respected non-profit, non-partisan organization devoted to supporting fiscally responsible and efficient revenue and expenditure programs for the State of Texas. Our mission is to provide thorough and accurate research on, and analysis of, important tax and expenditure issues so that our membership is prepared to constructively participate with elected officials in the tax and spending decisions that contribute to the growth of the state's business economy.

Working through TTARA, and our affiliated TTARA Research Foundation, business leaders work for improvements in the delivery of essential state services, and for ways to finance those services without placing an unfair tax burden on any segment of our economy.

As the state's premier organization devoted to tax and spending issues, TTARA and the TTARA Research Foundation have provided leadership and guidance to business and public officials in facing the constant challenges of a growing and diverse state.
